ADEXTE®, uses solely and exclusively 18/10 AISI 304 Stainless Steel (X5CrNi18/10) for all its products designed for the Operating Room, as this is the most hygienic material.
In particular:
It has a very low level of bacterial retention, due to a compact and non-porous surface, while at the same time ensuring a high level of bacterial removal, using the most common sanitizing protocols.
It is resistant to corrosion: this corrosion resistance is due to the presence of alloy elements, capable of passivation, i.e., of creating a practically invisible thin film of oxides that clings to the surface, with a thickness of a few atomic layers (in the order of 3-5 × 10−7 mm), which protects the alloy from the action of external chemical agents. ADEXTE products can be easily disinfected and clean in washer disinfector tunnel.
Why 18/10 AISI 304 stainless steel (X5CrNi18/10)?
It has no protective outer coating: any coating with paints, polymers or, even worse, chrome plating, if present, could become chipped or cracked and/or release substances into the environment or create environments favourable for bacterial growth and/or dirt or trigger corrosion processes. A protective coating often requires the use, in the part in contact with the metal below, of adhesion promoters that, in the case of damage to the protective coating, represent a further risk factor for environmental contamination or bacterial growth.
It has high mechanical and chemical strength and therefore guarantees the durability of the furniture.
It is environmentally friendly: each product contains an average of 70% of recycled stainless steel.
